Jet Force Gemini is a pretty good game from Rare, but could've been better. The plotline is good for action-adventure game, but not too original. The game features buglike aliens trying to take over the universe. You (the Jet Force Gemini team) must prevent that from happening. One original feature of the game is that you must complete each level with all 3 characters...a task that takes a lot of time to complete. The characters are Juno (the guy), Vela (the girl), and Lupas (the dog).
The Good
The best feature of this game is the sound. There are many options for the sound, including surround sound support. The music and special effects are also very well done. The great music sets the mood for every level, and the sound effects sound like they were taken right out of a George Lucas film. Even though it doesn't run in high resolution, the games graphics are also pretty good. The level designs are very intricate and well thought out. Another good feature of the game is the 2 player co-op mode, although the 2nd player can only shoot and not move by himself.
The Bad
The controls are not that bad, but they aren't that good either. I died many times because I pressed the wrong button by accident. They take a while to get used to, and are very confusing, especially when you are fighting and don't have much time to think. The aiming system is not that great either.
The Ugly
The sites old design is pretty ugly. I like the new one a lot better.
