At first, when I rented Blitz and was recieving an butt kicking by the computer, I didn't understand why the game got such good reviews from some of the main sites. I thought the game sucked until I started playing 2 player mode. Blitz has a great two player mode and is actually very fun to play once you get used to the feel of the game. The game is very confusing and hard to play until you get used to it. I found the analog passing system especially perplexing. Once you get used to it, though, it is a very innovative and easy to use system. Another thing I found difficult about the game was the computer difficulty. They were almost impossible to beat unless you had mastered the game. In the five days that I had the game, I only won one game against them. And that was on easy!!! The only reason I one was because I blocked a last minute field goal attempt by the computer. Other than that, the game was very well done. The graphics were sharp and the characters were animated well. The sound effects were very realistic, especially when you hit someone. The music was also sort of catchy. It took some time to get used to, but after that the control system was fairly easy to use. The best part of this game, though was the replay value. Once I started playing a game, I couldn't stop. In fact, I missed a few homework assignments because of this game. Overall, this game was very fun, mainly because of its mixture of football and wrestling. One of the best parts was hitting your opponent after the play was over. This was the second best football game I ever played, behind only Tecmo Super Bowl for the Super NES. Good job, Midway, on an exellent translation. Questions, Comments. E-mail me at n64obsession@hotmail.com. |
