Turok 2

Turok 2 is an extremely fun game. With the new N64 expansion pak, the graphics are some of the best I've seen on the system. It is a very challenging game, and even an experienced gamer will have difficulty completeing the first few levels. With the many weapons availible, it makes it incredibley fun to kill your foes. Sound is good, and gameplay is pretty good, but not anything special. The AI is superior to many other games on the N64. The enemies will duck behing boxes and weave back and forth making them hard to shoot.

Graphics
The graphics are incredibly amazing. Keep in mind that I have the N64 expanship pak so the graphics I have seen are are probably much better then low-rez graphics. I'm sure that the graphics are still great in low-rez. The enemies are not the only things that are sweet looking. The buildings and backround objects are beatiful. On the Port of Adia there are many fires and I thought that if you ran through them you would get hurt because they looked like the programmers ment them to be foreground objects. There are also many bodies laying on the ground which looks like they were just killed. The programmers used "soft-skined" techology which makes them look a lot more like living creatures and not like cubes.

Sound
The sound in Turok 2 is awesome. When you fire your weapon it sounds like the real thing (if the weapons that are exctally real). The music in the game is cool, but since you are normally to busy worry about the dinosaurs ripping you apart sometimes you don't notice the music. Speaking of the dinosuars, they also sound great. You can tell when they see you because they growl or make some kind of vicious sounding noise. You can even hear them walking, so if you can't see them you know that they are there.

Gameplay
Gameplay is what makes Turok2 better then some other shooters. The frame rate maintains a constant 30fps. It only sometimes drops in multi-player mode. The enemy AI (Artificial Intelligence) is awesome. They will use their surroundings to their advantage. They will weave back and forth making them hard to hit which really increases the callenge. Unlike the first game you now have mission objectives. Instead of just running around killing things, you now have to solve some problems. The weapons avalible are awesome. They sound like the real thing. There are 20+ weapons you can choose from, which makes killing your enemies a hole lot funner. You can choose from two different control settings. This feature makes it a lot better for the people who want the controls like Goldeneye. The multi-player mode is awesome. It is so fun. I'm going to play it after I finish typing this review. This is a ten times better game then the original game.

Replay
There is not much you can say about Turok's replay value. Like all first-person shooters the rplay value is the same. There is no new items to ,find unless you didn't find all the weapons, but it is very fun just to play it again for the fun of it.

Overall>
Turok is a very good game. It is much improved from the first game. With all the new weapons and improved enemy AI this game is awesome. The multi-player mode is great. This is one of the very best shooters for the N64.
